Mass shooting kills at least 8 at Tops Supermarket in Buffalo

At least 8 people are dead after a mass shooting in a Tops Supermarket in Buffalo, New York, the AP reported.

Driving the news: Buffalo police said that the shooter was in custody. NBC News reports that a man wearing “military-style gear” entered the supermarket and started shooting around 2:30 p.m.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said she was “closely monitoring” the situation. Tops operations manager Shonnell Harris told the Buffalo News that the shooter was a white man wearing camouflage. “He looked like he was in the Army,” Harris said.Further information on the number injured was not immediately available.
